GET READY WITH ME:

Hi guys, so my original plan was to make this get ready with me a video and post it on my youtube channel as my first video, but I was forgetting a couple things and on a real note I'm way too scared to post a video. So before I ramble on too much, I got bored and wanted to play with my new Morphe 39A palette so I decided to make a blog post about it....

Before I apply any makeup I always start by moisturizing. Lately I've been trying this Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. I cannot apply makeup without moisturizing my skin first, no matter what season it is my skin likes to constantly be super dry. I usually apply an under eye cream when I moisturize as well, but I just ran out of the kind I've been liking.

Next I go in with my Smashbox Primer Water to add even more hydration to my skin before applying foundation. If you're like me and have dry dull skin this product will be your new best friend in your makeup routine.

For primer I usually use the Benefit Porefessional, I find that this works best to fill in my pores and leaves my skin super smooth before applying foundation. The only thing I don't like about this primer is that I don't find it does anything for making my makeup last all day long.

Today for foundation I went in with the Hourglass Vanish Stick, I know it looks super yellow compared to my skin but trust me once it's blended out I promise it actually matches my skin. I also used my Morphe Y6 brush to blend this foundation out.

For concealer I used the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer. As much as it pains me to say this, I am not on the Tarte Shape Tape band wagon. I do own the Tarte Shape Tape, but I noticed that although the coverage was amazing, it was just too drying on my under eyes. I find that this Urban Decay concealer is so much more hydrating and has nearly the same amount of coverage. Another concealer I've been loving is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I always use a beauty blender to blend out my concealer.

To set all the places I put concealer, I of course use the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder. I lightly bake this powder onto my face using my beauty blender and while it's baking I like to move onto my brows.

For my eyebrows I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in medium brown to fill in my brows. I also use the Benefit Precisely My Brow to outline my brows and create a sharp tail. The brush I use with the pomade is from It Cosmetics and I got it at Ulta.

Once my eyebrows are filled in I like to set them using my Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel. This brow gel has been a game changer for me. I am blessed with super long curly untamed eyebrow hairs, but when I use this gel it keeps my eyebrow hairs locked in place. I'm not kidding this stuff is like super glue but not in a scary way.

After my brows are done, I dust away any of the excess powder that's left from baking. I then take my big fluffy Ecotools brush and lightly bronze my skin. Today I decided to use my Urban Decay Beached Bronzer which I typically only use in the summer because it's a very warm bronzer so I don't really know why I decided to use it today.

After I bronze up my skin, I go into my Kat Von D Shade and Light contour palette and grab the middle contour shade on a small Sonia Kashuk brush and cut my cheekbones. I like to very lightly contour with this palette because I find that if I go in with too heavy of a hand it ends up looking muddy which is not cute. I also use this middle shade and a small tapered brush to contour the sides of my nose.

After I contour I take my Coty Airspun powder and clean up the contour. This is one of my new favorite things to do, I find that this makes my contour look so much cleaner and it makes sure that I don't take my contour too low.

I do my makeup in weird orders sometimes so I don't know why I decided to move onto my eyes next. To prep my eyes for eyeshadow I use the Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. Basically, this is like using a concealer as an eyeshadow primer. I also set my eyelids with translucent powder before going in with eyeshadow.

For eyeshadow I went in with the new Morphe 39A palette. I decided to do a soft halo eye and I played around with the berry colors and then used a gold metallic in the middle. These eyeshadows were so pigmented and easy to blend out. There are so many other eye looks I want to create with this palette, so I'm excited to use it more often. I forgot to take pictures but I used my Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, if I wanted to make this more of a "going out" eye look I would have added eyeliner and false lashes but I was just playing around and didn't actually have anywhere to go.

After I finished my eyes I moved on to finish my face by adding a flush of color to my cheeks using my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in the shade "Dollface" which is a baby pink color.

To finish off my face I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit which is the "Sundipped" palette and I used the shade "summer". This highlight color is the perfect light gold shade. I highlighted my cheek bones, nose, cupids bow, brow bone, and a little bit on the sides of my forehead.

For lips I went with a mauve pink color from to match the berry tones on my eyes. This is the Nars Velvet Lip Glide in the shade "bound". I like this velvet formula because it gives you the pigment of a matte liquid lipstick but also theres still a little shine like a gloss.

To set all my makeup in place I used the Morphe Prep and Set and the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. Both of these are equally good setting sprays but I like to be extra so I use both at the same time. Setting sprays are crucial in my makeup routine. I find that setting sprays really melt my makeup into my skin and keep my makeup lasting all day long.

Here's a couple pictures of the final look. This is more of a day time glam that can easily turn into a night time glam by adding liner, lashes, and a dark lip. Like I mentioned before, eventually I will make this "get ready with me's" in the form of videos on Youtube. I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and as always XOXO, Morgan.
