MY EYESHADOW PALETTE COLLECTION:

Easily some of my favorite things to buy are eyeshadow palettes. I feel like a new palette comes out every day so it's hard to keep track on which ones are worth buying and which ones are not. Being a broke college girl, I haven't splurged on an eyeshadow palette in a while. For this blog post I'm going to go through my eyeshadow palette collection and tell you which ones I love and which ones usually get left behind.

My first ever eyeshadow palette I got was the Urban Decay Naked palette. I remember begging my mom for this palette as we stood in Ulta and gawked over the price. I finally convinced her by saying that we could share it, and to be quite honest she has used it much more than I have. This was the perfect beginners eyeshadow palette being that it has all the neutrals you need. In all honesty though, this palette is $54 and not worth your money. You can find so much more cheaper alternatives. This palette was fun while it lasted but I just don't use it anymore.

While I was still obsessing over my first Naked palette, the Naked 2 palette came out and of course I just had to get it. This palette is also $54 which I find to be extremely pricey. Compared to the original Naked palette, I actually did use this Naked 2 palette quite a bit. Having brown eyes I live for mauve pink-toned shades, so this palette was right up my alley. Now a days when I get bored I might occasionally dip back into this palette, but I just have so many other palettes that offer a wider shade range and are much more pigmented.

You know those stands as you're waiting to checkout with all the mini-sized makeup on them? Yeah, well that's where this purchase came from. This little Tartelette Tease eyeshadow palette caught my eye and I couldn't resist. I mean browns, purples, and pinks were all I used back in the good ole' days. This little guy costs $23 which is pretty reasonably for getting 6 shades and Tarte makes high quality eyeshadows. I would definitely recommend this palette to beginners. Some times I still dip back into this palette because that shade "bff" is a game changer.

This next palette is SO affordable. Carli Bybel is a well-known youtuber so whenever youtubers come out with products I feel like they're always worth your money. This palette comes with 10 eyeshadow shades and 4 highlighter shades for only $20, not to mention the fact that this palette is SO pigmented for being drugstore. Carli actually recreated this palette by adding a couple more shades and making it bigger, but I never felt the need to buy it being that I already have the original. This palette is such a good palette for everyday looks and the highlighters are super blinding so it's a win win.

The internet went nuts when this palette came out, and I now understand why. Anastasia killed the game with this Modern Renaissance palette. This bad boy cost me $42 so it was a bit of a splurge, but the pigment on these eyeshadows makes it worth every penny. This palette screams fall, literally any fall look you want can be achieved with this palette. I use this palette frequently and I would 10/10 recommend.

This palette is my BABY. Jaclyn Hill has been my absolute favorite youtuber for over 2 years now, so when she came out with this palette I didn't even care what it looked like I just knew that I needed to get my hands on it. My boyfriend actually surprised me with it which I'm super grateful for because I was working when it first came out, and it sold out right away but luckily he was able to get one. This palette is insanely pigmented like I'm not kidding one tap of your brush and you're good to go. I love that this palette has so many neutrals yet so many vibrant colors. There is literally a million looks you can create with this palette and I find myself using it nearly every time I do my makeup. Also 35 shades for only $38 like are you kidding me that is so reasonable.

This next palette is the Morphe 3502 Second Nature Palette. I don't know how I managed to get my hands on this being that it keeps selling out like crazy, but I do know that this palette is truly a gift from god. Similar to the Modern Renaissance palette, this palette screams fall. Exactly like the Jaclyn Hill palette these eyeshadows are insanely pigmented. On the top row, the first gold shimmer shade is my absolute favorite. This shade all over your lid is a-mazing. For only $23 I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone and everyone.

Ever since I got the Jaclyn Hill palette, I have been non-stop purchasing more Morphe palettes. This is the 39A Dare To Create palette from Morphe and it's limited edition so you better get your hands on it quick! Ever since I got this palette, I have not been able to put it down. The first large transition shade is the PERFECT transition shade for my skin tone. The two top rows filled with browns and berries I live for. I really want to play with the blue and green shades, but haven't gotten to it yet. This palette has nearly everything you need. The only flaw about this palette is that I wish it had a bright shimmer shade to use for an inner corner/brow bone highlight, but other than that I would definitely recommend this palette. Also this palette is only $32 and it is HUGE.

That's it for my eyeshadow palettes. I have a couple individual eyeshadow shades from Makeup Geek, Mac, and Makeup Revolution but I'll mention those in another post. I hope this post helped you to see which palettes are hot and which palettes are not (in my eyes that is). Lots of blog posts coming soon as I have nothing to do with my time all winter break (maybe even a video). As always XOXO, Morgan.
